“A good painting is that which shows skill, but not too much skill, we don't always want portraits and still lives on our walls”

Mazhar Fakhar - Rich and heterosexual male art collector.

“A good painting is that which makes your guests stop and admire it. And everyone should know who the artist is and how much it costs”

Champa - Art collector, turned curator.

Since the  first gallery and museums were created, humans have wondered "What is a good painting?"

What makes a painting good ? Is it a canvas which shows skill, proper use of colors and originality? Or is it a canvas which has splatters of paint made by an experienced splasher?

Or Is the painting good because it has a good return on investment, trendy and looks good on instagram?
