Sausan Saulat

The pieces for this show developed from the more frivolously titled group exhibition Ishsq Wishq, earlier this year. Having thoroughly enjoyed giving a quirky visual language to the complexities of relationships in a playful manner I decided to further the explorations, developing them into an independent body of work.

Although the works mostly talk of the individual, they are based largely on universal themes of identity, artistic tussles, relationships and the banalities of urban living. Visually, the work has strong contemporary undertones but the Pop like elements often mask deeper sentiments of tedium and inertia.
